Fran Webster is a fantastically talented musical savant: he has made music and recorded albums with a number of groups and family since 1965. He grew up in very musical family and never really stopped making music.
This web site is a celebration of his music, how it was influenced, his many forays into different style of music, some teaching of song-writing and collaboration with his own family, especially his wife Annalee, who brings an emotional evocative feeling to her elegant lyrics.
After several very popular psychedelic albums in the late sixties and early seventies, Fran met his future wife who became not only a steadying influence on him, but collaborated by writing evocative songs describing the history of the region and capturing the emotional echoes of the zeitgeist at the time. Talking Place and Station on the Green are two excellent examples.
One of Fran's talents (that he intends to keep expressing) is to associate with other musical styles, learn and absorb them and bring them into his current music.
The album Franalee is an example of the influence of the Latin music he brought from Cuba
